Don’t Let Stress Break You Down!
Have you ever heard someone say, “I’m too young to feel so old.” Or maybe, “I’m getting too old for this.” Well here at New Wave Chiropractic we help people feel young again. Too many people these days are starting to feel more and more aches and pains at younger ages. At the store the other day I heard a woman, probably early 20’s, say to her friend, “I feel so old, I don’t have any energy anymore.” Why is it that people feel like they are aging so much faster than what they should be? Well I’m going to tell you something that you probably already know… It’s because people are not taking care of their bodies.
We live in a society that adds way too much stress to our lives. From poor posture while working at your desk to tripping over the dog and falling on the ground. There are three types of stress that affect our bodies and our overall health. Chemical stress, emotional stress and of course physical stress. Each of these stresses affect our bodies and cause interference within the nervous system. Chemical stresses include things like toxins in the foods we eat and harmful drugs that are prescribed to us. Then there are emotional stresses which can include times when we feel anger, anxiety and sadness. Lastly, physical stresses include incidents like car accidents, sports injuries and falls. For the majority of the population, especially those that are already feeling the effects of stress, these stresses go unchecked or are dismissed as being “no big deal.” But by brushing these stresses off, they add up and cause more problems for you down the road. We need to address the little stresses that add up so they don’t boil over and create big problems. If we all did that than those aches and pains will start to go away or maybe never begin in the first place.
It doesn’t matter if you’re 20 years young or 80 years young, it is important to us that you continue to feel young and healthy. Our team at New Wave Chiropractic encourages a healthy lifestyle in all aspects of life. If you’re feeling a little achy today or just low on energy, see how chiropractic can help.
