Reduce Your Symptoms
Many people go to a chiropractor because they are in pain. In Crisis Care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms and recover function.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don’t feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them – that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain level is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.
For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease? Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last thing to appear. When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains. After we resolve the immediate crisis we can move to the next phase, remodeling or Corrective Care.
I found New Wave Chiropractic from Yelp and have been visiting the practice periodically for nearly a year. Having been to chiropractors off-and-on for over 30 years all over the country, I've seen a lot of different styles and methodologies. And, I have to say that Dr. Paul is, hands down, the best chiropractor I have had the pleasure of working with. Dr. Paul takes a holistic approach to his patient's health and wellbeing. In addition to working through the typical computer-desk related spine and neck issues, Dr Paul was also able to provide relief from a chronic eye problem that has plagued me for years. Any time my eye pain flairs up, I go visit Dr. Paul and I'm back to normal for weeks. The level of quality and professionalism provided by Dr. Paul and the good folks at New Wave Chiropractic is unsurpassed!
