Hi, I’m Macaela! I recently moved with my husband to California from North Carolina. I’m from a big family who loves to cook and have fun! Working in the health care industry has given me such a different outlook on life. I love being in a position where not only do we help patients, but we see the results as they continue to come in. It is such a happy feeling being part of someone’s healing journey. I am beyond excited to be a part of the NWCC family.
When I’m not here helping to serve the Carlsbad community, I’m usually at home watching movies with my husband, hanging out with friends, or talking with my family. I look forward to greeting all your friendly faces as you walk through our doors and continue your path to wellness!
Bento
Bento is New Wave’s proud mascot, but if we’re being honest, he really runs the place! Bento is a young-at-heart chuggle weiner (chihuahua, pug, wiener mix). Bento loves coming to the office to be a part of your health and wellness journey. There are so many studies that show the effect of animal therapy on your mental and physical wellbeing, and Bento is here to serve you with his calm and lovable presence.
While he loves to come to the office for his freeze-dried liver treats and pets, he really loves to give all our practice members kisses. While you lay or sit down for your adjustment, don’t be surprised if you hear the little pitter-patter of a Bento approaching. If you have a foot or a hand that is within his reach, he will lick it!
When Bento is not in the office providing exceptional emotional support and healing, you can find him at the dog beach, the park, or laying around the house trying to find the sunny spots and begging for all the human food.
